What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity is the natural variation in how human brains process, think, and experience the world. It recognizes conditions like Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and others not as deficits, but as differences that deserve respect, support, and understanding.
Neurodivergent Experiences
- Autism: Sensory sensitivities, social communication differences, deep focus or “special interests”
- ADHD: Executive function challenges, hyperfocus, creative problem-solving, impulsivity
- Dyslexia/Dyspraxia: Unique learning styles, strong spatial or artistic strengths
Each person is unique, and labels don’t define you — they can be tools for advocacy, support, and empowerment.
Challenges and Strengths
Living in a world not designed for neurodivergent minds can lead to stress, burnout, and mental health struggles. But with support, accommodations, and community, neurodivergent people can thrive — not in spite of who they are, but because of it.
